REST…

Something that sounds so simple but often requires intention.

We are so used to “the grind” that we forget that rest is essential to our growth and progress. We encourage children to nap and get a certain amount of rest so they can have an improved mood, energy and healthy development yet when we become of age the concept of rest is hard to grasp or brings on feelings of guilt. 

Savasana is one of my favorite postures when I need some extra stillness and time to connect with my breath and slow down. It is said to be the most challenging pose as it requires you to truly rest and sit with you — no interruptions. 

I encourage you to set aside 3 days (doesn’t have to be consecutive) to be intentional about Resting, Recharging and Renewing on your path to healing and purpose.
